Enquiries & General Questions

We would love to hear from you if you have any questions about our holiday cottage, the area, or would like to check something before making a booking. Please fill in the contact form below or send us an email and we will respond as soon as possible.

Full details on availability and prices are available on the respective pages of our website, and you can use the "book now" button to make a booking if you would like to proceed, but if you do have any questions before you do so, please don't hesitate to ask.

Your holiday time is your precious time, and it is important you find the right property for you and that it fits in with your expectations, so please feel free to ask any questions before you make your choice.

If you tell us what you expect from your holiday, then we will be honest and tell you if our cottage is right for you. It is not in our interest to take a booking that will not meet your needs and expectations.

Also, if you are booking for a special occasion, such as a birthday or anniversary, and would like to make a special request please let us know and we will do our best to assist you.

Online bookings is quick and easy for standard breaks - our standard short break bookings are Monday to Friday (4 night midweek) or Friday to Monday (3 night weekend), or a full week, 7 night stay starting on either a Monday or a Friday.

Please note that the cottage sleeps 2 in one king size bedroom. We have unreserved on-street parking outside the cottage (no drive), and we do not have an outdoor space or garden, although there are lovely walks right from the door, including access to the open fells just 50 yards away.

We have a well equipped kitchen with everything you should need to cook meals during your stay, but we don't have a washing machine or dishwasher, so you will have to agree who is cooking and who is washing up!

We are dog friendly, and unlike most other cottages we do not charge extra for your dogs, but please do not let your dog on the sofa or bed, and please do not leave them alone in the cottage at any time.

Please note that the cottage is NOT baby/child friendly due to the log burning fire and open stairs, and for this reason we do not accept bookings with children or babies.

Full terms and conditions are available here - Birch House Terms & Conditions
